Thank you to all the amazing people who wrote to me. Deciding on the winner was a difficult choice as there were lots of couples I’d be excited to work with– with so many beautiful wedding locations and ideas.
Melissa and Blake are throwing a fun weekend for friends and family at Lake Tahoe this summer. I knew we’d be a great fit when she mentioned she never dreamed about a big elaborate wedding and found herself overwhelmed and ambivalent about the whole process. I was in that same predicament last year while planning my own and I think this feeling is true for many engaged couples. Planning a wedding can be quite overwhelming, especially with the majority of today’s wedding blogs and magazines packed to the brim with soo many ideas, options, DIY projects, etiquette tips and details-details-details. Plus, many couples are constantly barraged with well-meaning advice and opinions from excited friends and family, which can make it hard to stay true to themselves while making decisions. I am happy to hear that Melissa and Blake are aiming for a celebration that will be reflective of their personalities, their love for each other —- and of course who wouldn’t want to go to Tahoe for a party?!
